Welcome to Friday’s post.
Fall is upon us, and although we’re battling 30° weather here in Nashville, that won’t stop me from enjoying my favorite seasonal essentials.
Not much changes in my makeup routine as we transition seasons with the exception of my lipstick color. Lipstick wasn’t my thing until about 2 years ago and even now, I still usually save it for the fall. Pinks and corals (although pretty) are not my thing in terms of colors I like on my face, but anything gothic and grungy- sign me up so naturally, I have a plethora of favorites in that department.
First up, my favorite deep berry shade. This is an absolute staple in my make up game during the fall. It’s the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Exorcism and you can get it here.
Next up is the lighter of my go to nudes. This is MACs satin lipstick in Spirit and you can get it here.
Lastly is every ’90s girls dream. This is the Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in 1993 and you can get it here.
Yeah I know, the nude swatches look the same. I’m working on my lighting situation.
These are just a few examples of my go to favorites but some other noteworthy colors include: MAC “Verve”, MAC “Diva”, MAC “Viva Glam 2”, Kat Von D “Bow N Arrow”, Anastasia Beverly Hills “Heathers”, and ColourPop “Grunge”. Click any of the color names and it’ll take you to where you can purchase them if you’re interested. Also please let me know if you want me to do swatches of these colors!
These Essie Gel Couture nail polishes are the bomb if you’re looking for an alternative to gel/shellac. I have several shades but my most favorite are Model Clicks (pictured below) and Wrap Party (not pictured) which looks black in the link pictures but is a very deep forrest green. You can google some swatches to see what I’m talking about.
Leather and chunky scarves- will they ever go out of style? I hope not. Also, I apologize for the lack of close up shots but I didn’t even think of it until after I took the pictures. Rookie mistake. Anyways, you can find a list of the stuff I’m wearing and where to buy it below.
Shoes: Super old and I can’t find them online
And there you have it- a basic post from a basic girl. Also, I’m working on my picture style and set up. It’s pretty difficult to pick a theme so I appreciate your patience while I try to figure out my “aesthetic”.
I hope you enjoyed this post and if you have any questions or requests, you can contact me through any form of social media, email, or leave a comment below.
Enjoy your weekend and I’ll see you on Monday.
